Two-time heavyweight champion Joshua Released from Hospital in Nigeria Following Fatal Road Accident

Olympic gold medalist Anthony Joshua has left the medical facility, local government spokespeople stated on Wednesday night. The fighter was part of a serious road collision near Lagos on December 29th, a devastating event that claimed the lives of two of his valued colleagues.

Healing from Light Wounds

The sports star had been under observation while recovering from minor injuries, representatives stated earlier on Monday. The Lagos state commissioner for information, Gbenga Omotoso, announced via a post online that Joshua was declared medically stable to “recuperate at home”.

“Joshua and his mother were at the mortuary in Lagos this afternoon to offer their condolences to his two friends who passed away as they were being made ready for the journey back,” Omotosho said.

Remembering the Victims

Those who lost their lives were identified as Latif Ayodele, a personal trainer, and Sina Ghami, a conditioning specialist. It was also noted that the champion was filled with sorrow and deeply emotional over the passing of his two close friends.”

The news of his discharge arrives after the global fight fans shared sympathy for the fighter in the aftermath of the terrible crash.
