Jet Carrying US Defense Secretary Forced to Touch Down in UK Due to Crack in Windshield

An aircraft ferrying Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth was required to make an unplanned landing in the UK on Wednesday following a fracture was found in the aircraft's cockpit window, as stated by an official announcement which verified that the secretary was unharmed.

"The jet landed following standard procedures and all individuals on the flight, such as Secretary Hegseth, is unharmed," an official representative commented in a online announcement.

The secretary was coming back from a short visit to Brussels at the time.

This event does not mark the initial instance that a US military aircraft carrying a senior official has suffered equipment failures.

Earlier this year, a US Air Force plane transporting Marco Rubio to Munich was forced to head back to the US capital after encountering a technical issue.
