Barcelona to Host Inaugural Fixture at Partially Completed Camp Nou this Saturday

Barça revealed their first game will take place at the still-under-construction Camp Nou over the weekend. They will welcome the Basque side in domestic competition over two years since relocating for construction to commence.

“We’ve dreamed about the return. Now, it’s here. We’re back home. Back at Spotify Camp Nou.”

The stadium will not be at full capacity with 45,401 fans will be allowed to watch under the licence granted. Once fully finished, the Camp Nou is due to hold almost 105,000 spectators, a rise from the old capacity. The club said recent additions comprise an updated entryway for the team along with upgraded changing facilities.

Recent Activities

Barça organized an open training session on the home pitch earlier this month. The club said approval is being pursued by UEFA to host the next European match facing Eintracht next month in the renovated venue. They have been hosting matches at Estadio Olímpic Lluís Companys.
